One IFC Wealth Management Centre

An exclusive concierge wealth hub powered by hospitality and technology

Spatial Concept was appointed to design and build for Standard Chartered’s sixth Wealth Management Centre in Hong Kong. The brief called for an elevated, hospitality‑driven client experience that reflects the brand, maximises harbour view for the client area, which can host events.

Design Narrative

The client journey anticipates premium services, from a concierge‑style welcome to an in‑house tea experience at the bar island. Heritage‑inspired motifs characterise the centre, including a 3 dimensional leather wall with cloud-inspired carving and a ceiling detail referencing the auspicious symbol “如意” (Ruyi) in the main meeting room. The front‑ and back‑of‑house are distinctly zoned for confidentiality and operational efficiency, while the overall experience remains warm, intuitive and welcoming.

Materiality

A hospitality‑led palette underpins the scheme. A marble logo wall sets the tone on arrival, complemented by rich timber veneers in the lounge area. Lacquered wood frames and green stone inlay roots the space in Hong Kong’s cultural context, while textured and perforated ceilings with recessed lighting deliver depth and acoustic comfort. Metal trims are used both as crisp detailing and as subtle floor inlays that elegantly define space, while plush carpets demarcate quieter zones and enhance comfort, creating a luxury feel. At the café and bar, marble with metallic finishes, flushed floor light and digital art invite guests to enjoy an in‑house tea experience.

Meeting, Town Hall and Flexibility

A spectrum of meeting rooms is designed for clarity and discretion, supported by acoustic finishes in brand colours. Seamless IT/AV integration enables reliable hybrid collaboration. The layout allows for town‑hall briefings for up to 48 people, with operable elements and furniture planning enabling convenient reconfiguration.

Technology and Security

LED walls are integrated without visual clutter. Card-controlled access, fire‑rated glazing and clear zoning uphold safety compliance and privacy for wealth consultations.
